Hello all!
I hope you had a very nice holiday! I just wanted to take a moment to tell all of you how proud I am. The stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury survivors in our group are amazing! Our Tuesday group began with a couple motivated stroke survivors in April of 2020 and has grown to over 40 members on our contact list. We are the ONLY free, therapist-led exercise group in Connecticut! Your dedication keeps me motivated to continue turning StrokeOT, Inc. into a nonprofit organization. The nonprofit sector is an expensive and time-consuming business model for therapist's to grow as it is mired in insurance, state, and federal requirements. Volunteering my time to run our weekly exercise groups has been the fun part that gives me the drive to continue!
Here's to a successful 2022 for all of us!
Tuesday, December 28th Exercise Groups:
12:30-1:00pm seated upper body stretches
1:00-1:30pm upper and lower body exercises
1:30-2:00pm seated cardio exercises
In-person meeting site: Research and Education Center gymnasium. 370 Osgood Avenue. New Britain. Enter through the autism center entrance. The gymnasium is down the hall to the right.

The first training class has successfully completed with more scheduled for the new year. If anyone has interest in volunteering for this exciting program then contact volunteer services.
