It is the purpose of SurvivorS for SurvivorS to become a world class organization dedicated to serving stroke survivors. We will do this by being aware of the varied physical and emotional disabilities which accompany a stroke. We seek to offer assistance both as a clearinghouse for accessing support especially in regard to physical and emotional therapy, medical referrals, social and recreational opportunities and resources.
We will accomplish this goal by listening to the needs of stroke survivors, their caregivers and families; and attempt to build programs that support and enhance their lives and standing in the community.
We wish to educate survivors and the public about advances in stroke treatment, therapies, and opportunities to be active members of the community.
